Jef Naayers

Jef Naayers has been training and teaching in the Martial Arts for over 50 years having studied several styles throughout those years but is well known in the Chinese Martial Arts. In his childhood years he also studied, Tae Kwon Do, Shorin Ryu Karate, and Sip Pal Gi (Korean Kung Fu).

 

He trained directly with Dr. Daniel K. Pai of Pai Lum Kung Fu for 2.5 years, then with Chan Pui of Wah Lum for 23 years. In the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s he traveled many times to China, Hong Kong, and S. Korea to train with top renown masters in various styles. He lived in China with his wife and 6 children for nearly 7 years training and teaching Shaolin Gong Fu. His students have traveled there many times as well. He received certification from the Shaolin Temple, Henan, China in 1990, and has continued his studies with Shaolin on subsequent trips to China and with visits to the USA from various masters. 

He is the 2nd Generation successor of the double-handed sword of Yu Cheng Hui (Beijing) (deceased 2015), and travels extensively teaching that system. He was a private student of Zhu Tianxi (Zhengzhou) (deceased 2021) of Shaolin fame since 1998 and created a partnership with him and his top student Zhang Shijie that continues today. They have a live-in Martial Arts boarding school in China and Jef Naayers is the USA Headmaster. Other notable studies of Tai Chi Plum Flower Mantis Fist with Zhang Bing Dou (Jinan) (deceased 2022), Shaolin Boxing of various styles with Master Liang Yiquan (Deng Feng), other various Shaolin Masters, Hong method Chen Taiji of Liu Chengde, Lee Koon Hungs’ Choy Lee Fut & Lion Dance (Hong Kong & Orlando), Yin Ching Style with Master Lu Jinhai (Shanghai), Contemporary & Traditional Wushu with the Beijing National Wushu Team (Beijing & USA), Legend Chen Dao Yun, and other greats where he studied Liu He Ba Fa, Baqua, Shuai jiao, Taiji, Qigong, and Sanda. 

Master Naayers has competed, performed and taught all over the World and has won many prizes in competition with some being overall Grand Championships. He was one of the first two men to represent Team USA in World competition in Sanda (full contact fighting) Zhengzhou Shaolin Wushu Festival 1991. He has appeared in many Magazine and Newspaper publications, on Television, in Movies, Documentaries, Videos, Theatre, in Churches and on many Stages for various performances. He and his students have performed many community service events, and have donated money, talent, and time to various charitable organizations as well. His Lion Dance and Demo Team are famous in the Midwestern United States.
