JiaoShou "Professor" Robert Murphy has been training directly under Grandmaster Glenn C. Wilson in Pai Lum Tao system of martial arts since 1994. He started off training in Kung Fu. Soon after he started to train in Tai Chi Chuan, knowing that the external needed a balance of the internal.

His knowledge of martial arts led him into the medical world first through massage. Massage helped the understanding of muscles and structure and made him want to understand more on the healing of the body. This led to studying Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. He has been a Doctor of Oriental Medicine since 2009.
